Bristol Group Breaks Ground on EQT Exeter River Ridge Building 2

A once stalled project is moving forward with Bristol Group’s Design-Manufacture-Build approach. Crews recently broke ground on a 565,000-square-foot warehouse in River Ridge Commerce Center in southern Indiana. The speculative building is owned by EQT Exeter.

“This is a fairly challenging site with significant rock excavation. Bristol Group really dug into that and came up with a good game plan to help keep costs down but still provide a superior product,” said Brian Zentz, Senior Project Manager of Construction and Development for EQT Exeter. “The communication has been excellent. I talk with [Bristol Vice President of Construction] John Pennington probably two-three times a week. It’s been a great experience so far and we’re looking forward to building our relationship with Bristol Group.”

In addition to developing a solution for the site soils and large quantity of rock, Bristol Group was also selected as the design-build general contractor and precast concrete supplier. Bristol Group has a growing list of clients in River Ridge, a global business park, office and research campus with facilities totaling over 14 million square feet.

“It takes a highly sophisticated set of partners to develop a commerce center of this magnitude in less than 15 years, and Bristol Group has consistently played a key role in our success,” said Devin Hillsdon-Smith, Deputy Director of the River Ridge Development Authority. “Their dedication to the client and design-manufacture-build approach has been critical in attracting new corporate investment to Southern Indiana. Bristol Group’s ability to deliver high quality product in an expedited manner is commendable, and we thank them for their role in the success of the River Ridge Commerce Center.”

The EQT Exeter River Ridge Building 2 is scheduled for completion in May 2022.
