Hitachi in Berea, KY needed additional manufacturing space but had limited property to construct any further additions.
Bristol Group analyzed the property and two large facilities on site and determined there were two locations suitable for expansion. One location had been discounted due to truck turning restrictions, and the other because it was between the two existing facilities and provided access for all shipping
and receiving. Bristol Group first proposed a solution that would alter truck maneuvering to make the first expansion possible. A reroute of all shipping and receiving was also recommended, allowing Bristol to connect the two large structures.
Both expansions were a success with no delays to shipping/receiving. Once constructed, the second addition allowed for proper truck turning. Bristol also designed, manufactured and erected precast walls between the large structures to create a fire separation wall. The project was completed time and on budget.
