With Hitachi Automotive’s goal of becoming a global top-five automotive parts supplier, they needed a new facility fast for a competitive price. Their requirements included docks, clean room, office space, conference room, break room, locker room, meeting space, training area, and a large manufacturing area to accommodate highly specialized equipment.
Bristol Group was chosen to design and build this new facility that would house the manufacturing of smart, electronic-power steering components. Manufacturing building components off site, an accelerated schedule and pre-qualification of key vendors resulted in a 90-day dry-in.
The project was completed ahead of schedule and with zero change orders. This new facility represents Bristol Group’s 10th construction project for Hitachi Automotive since 2003.
