To meet the growing demand for the automotive parts supply chain, Vuteq wanted to expand their manufacturing facility in Georgetown, KY. With limited space available on site, Vuteq needed an outside-the-box solution.
Bristol Group proposed to expand the building to within inches of the building setback line, construct part of the building in the detention basin and relocate most of the detention area. Twenty-foot retaining walls were used to extend the building as close to the building offset line as possible.
The solution was accepted and the expansion was built on land that was previously thought to be unusable. Vuteq installed their equipment on time and met the demand for parts.
